With an ingress protection rating of IP66 and MIL-STD 810H certification, this fully rugged laptop is able to cope with the most extreme environments. The long battery life of 18 hours (or 36 hours with an optional second battery) makes it suitable for multiple shifts out in the field. A Powerful Rugged Solution
The powerful 11th Generation i5 vPro processor (or optional i7) makes the device suitable for capturing video feeds, drone footage and running power software programs.
The Toughbook 40 has eight user-replaceable locations for the memory, battery, storage and keyboard, as well as four expansion areas featuring different types of PAKs for a barcode reader, optical drives, authentication readers, additional I/O, batteries and storage. It’s this level of customisation that makes Panasonic’s Toughbook 40 easy to order with shorter lead times, decreased downtime and peace of mind that the devices are futureproof.
A choice of 4G or 5G modem is available. The 4G supports LTE, LTE-A and speeds of up to 2Gps. The 5G modem supports 4G (LTE, LTE-A), 5G (Sub6, C-band, mmWave) and speeds of up to 5.5 Gbps. Both of the modems support FirstNet® (band 14), CBRS Private LTE (band 48) and have dual SIM (physical SIM + eSIM) for maximum flexibility.
The Windows 11 secured core PC has enhanced identity protection and hardware encryption, making it one of the most secure Windows PCs ever built. Out of the box, the device proactively prevents infections, protects information and reduces security complexity.
Panasonic boasts that the 3.35kg Toughbook 40 is five times more reliable than other laptops, saving organisations money on fewer repairs and reduced downtime.
