  The Camera offers 12MP, built in flash, ruggedised outerbody for protection from the elemnts and is designed with a full feature set but is very easy to use. With the optional built in GPS reciever with Digital Compass, the GPS co-ordinates are embedded in the image file and can be simply used to reference the image in GIS and mapping applications such as Map Info, ESRI and Google Earth.

  The Ricoh G700SE has revolutionised the use of photographic images in GIS applications. With an optional built in GPS receiver the camera can record the positional data as well as the time and date the photograph was taken. This data can then be used to bring the image file into GIS applications such as ESRI, MapInfo and Google Earth where they will be displayed graphically in the correct place. This is a real advantage for Mining companies, emergency services, construction and building, utilities and all public sector service to accurately file and display incidents, events, maintenance issues, rehabilitation, the uses are endless.
